What we do

A legislative district organization is local democracy at work.

Washington Democrats are organized by legislative district. As the team for the 48th, we meet every month, build the local party, and do the hands-on work of winning elections close to home.

Why it matters now

2026 is a defining year for Washington.

Control of our courts, our legislature, and our local offices is on the ballot. The decisions made next year will shape reproductive rights, housing, climate, and democracy itself for a generation.

Organizing now, in our own district, is how we make sure the Eastside turns out.

State Supreme Court seats

Five seats on the Washington State Supreme Court are up for election in 2026. These justices decide cases on rights and freedoms that touch every person in the state. We cannot sit them out.
