The following candidates were endorsed by at least 2/3 of members attending our May, June or July monthly meetings.

Ballot Measures

  • Sound Transit 3 (Sound Transit Board’s proposal for completion of a regional light rail network. This will be on the ballot in November.)  soundtransit3.org. Endorsed a Yes vote to approve the plan.

Nominations for State Legislature:

U.S. Congress Endorsements:

  • U.S. Senator:  Patty Murray
  • CD 1 Representative: Suzan DelBene
  • CD 9 Representative: Adam Smith (sole endorsement of two candidates considered)
  • CD8 Representative: Santiago Ramos

Special Resolution re: Candidacy of Santiago Ramos
WHEREAS Santiago Ramos has bemaen a long-time member and Executive Board member of the 48th District Democrats, and distinguished himself as a past Chair and as State Committeeman to the Washington State Democratic Central Committee from this District, and
WHEREAS by his statements and actions he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the principles and objectives of the Democratic Party, and
WHEREAS the 48th Legislative District is not part of the constituency of the 8th Congressional District for which he is running as U.S. Representative but we nonetheless fully support his campaign,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Democratic Precinct Committee Officers and other members of the 48th District Democrats recommend Santiago Ramos to the voters of the 8th Congressional District and announce that he has our full support, recommendation, and vote of confidence in his campaign for Congress.
