Become a PCO
A precinct committee officer, or PCO, is the elected face of the Democratic Party in your neighborhood. It is one of the most direct ways to make a difference.
What a PCO does
PCOs are the grassroots organizing base of the Democratic Party. They know their precinct, help turn out the vote, and represent their neighbors within the district party.
- Canvass or telephone the precinct in coordination with election strategy at least once a year.
- Coordinate with campaigns to educate voters and generate interest in candidates and ballot measures.
- Attend legislative district and county organization meetings.
