Drinking Liberally Redmond are honored to have Shasti Conrad, Chair of the King County Democrats, as our guest on Tuesday, September 14, 7 PM. Shasti will provide us with perspective on the most crucial federal, state and local elections that need our energies and resources so that we have the maximum and deciding impact in this most dangerous time when our democracy remains in peril. She will also provide some insights into how to organize your communities and win elections.
Shasti Conrad is a dynamic changemaker who has built her career understanding how a new, more diverse generation thinks and operates and fighting for diversity and inclusion. She has been staff on three presidential campaigns and one senate campaign. In the Obama White House, Shasti served in various capacities, including as Assistant to Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett, where she developed a policy portfolio on youth violence, and worked on disability rights and constituency outreach in the Office of Public Engagement. Shasti received her Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton University and her B.A. with Honors distinction from Seattle University. She is the first woman of color Chair for the Martin Luther King County Democrats, the 4th largest county party in the country.
